Arndale Centre

Arndale Shopping Centre was extended by a further 28,000 sqm in 2006. This additional redevelopment completed in stages from October 2005 houses the largest Next store in the UK at 14,000 sq m together with 75 new retailers including Oasis, Monsoon, Bershka, Esprit and Aldo. The scheme also includes some 18,500 sqm of retail area on New Cathedral Street (11 shops including Harvey Nicols, LK Bennett, Lacoste). In 2011, Arndale attracted more than 40 M visitors. In 2014, it received planning consent for a 16.260 sqm extension (including a cinema, 22 large shops and 7 restaurants). The Halle Place will also be redeveloped. Arndale is owned jointly by M&G Real Estate and intu.
