- HGHI Holding (the developer of Mall of Berlin) is planning the redevelopment of the Karstadt block (229-231) into a 65.000 sqm regional shopping centre. The Karstadt department store, should have close in March 2017 for two years (remaining the main anchor of the project). But according to HGHI the initial project could be remodelled and the development is currently on hold.
